30 Casualties Reported, Including One Child, Following Commercial Fire in Marib

The operations room of the Public Health and Population Office in Marib Governorate announced an initial toll of 30 casualties resulting from a massive fire that broke out in a commercial shop within Marib city today.
According to official reports, the casualties include the tragic death of a 14-year-old child who succumbed to severe injuries sustained during the blaze. The remaining injured individuals were rushed to various hospitals across the governorate to receive urgent medical care.
Preliminary medical reports indicate that the injuries vary in severity, ranging from different degrees of thermal burns to cases of acute suffocation caused by the inhalation of thick smoke. Emergency medical teams provided on-site first aid before rapidly transporting victims to specialized facilities.
The health office’s operations room emphasized that these figures remain preliminary and may be updated as search and monitoring efforts continue. In response to the crisis, emergency departments and intensive care units in local hospitals have been placed on high alert to handle any further developments or critical cases.
