Child in Taiz Injured by Houthi Sniper Fire

A child was injured on Thursday by a Houthi sniper fire in Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen.
Local sources reported that the child, “Mutasim Jamil Abdullah Ahmed” (15 years old), was struck by a bullet fired by a Houthi sniper positioned in the “Al-Salehin Hill” area, west of Taiz city.
The sources explained that the child sustained a serious head injury and was subsequently transferred to Al-Safwa Hospital in central Taiz for treatment. They also noted that Houthi snipers frequently target residential neighborhoods in the area from time to time.
