Strict Security Measures in Taiz Include Ban on Weapons and Evening Motorcycle Use

Taiz Governorate Police announced the commencement of a package of strict security measures starting Wednesday evening. These actions fall under the declared state of emergency and follow the directives of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, aimed at enhancing security and stability in the governorate.

Under these measures, carrying weapons and the movement of motorcycles are prohibited starting from 8:00 PM. The movement of any individual, armed security element, or the use of motorcycles during the curfew period is strictly forbidden.

Taiz Police emphasized that any violators will face legal accountability, including the confiscation of weapons and motorcycles, even if the owners possess prior permits. They stressed that these procedures are intended to maintain public safety and protect citizens and property.

The security agencies called on citizens to cooperate and adhere to the instructions, asserting that they will deal firmly with any violations. They stated there would be no leniency in applying the law to everyone without exception, contributing to public peace and the stabilization of conditions in the city.
