Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, inaugurated today a package of developmental projects in public works and the sanitation and improvement sector. These projects, funded by the local authority, are part of ongoing efforts to elevate services and improve the urban landscape of Marib city.
The inaugurated projects included a three-story residential building for sanitation workers affiliated with the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, new sanitation equipment for the Fund, and equipment for the Marib Governorate Roadworks Unit, consisting of nine heavy machinery pieces. This aims to contribute to executing various tasks and responding to emergencies in the governorate.
During the inauguration, Major General Al-Arada emphasized that these projects are part of a comprehensive plan to develop infrastructure, represent a qualitative addition to the governorate, and directly contribute to improving the city’s urban appearance, enhancing the efficiency of executed works, and addressing emergent deficiencies to meet needs and keep pace with the rapid urban expansion witnessed by Marib Governorate. He stressed the necessity of preserving these facilities and equipment and operating them with high efficiency to achieve the desired goals.
As part of the focus on aesthetic aspects, the curtain was unveiled on the “Monument of Victory” located on Al-Qasr Street, which serves as an urban landmark in the city.
Al-Arada also inspected the progress of construction work at Al-Shadadi Square, which is being implemented by the Sanitation and Improvement Fund with local funding. He reviewed the completion level and progress rate, directing the swift completion of the project according to approved technical specifications, given its status as an urban landmark and its importance in reflecting the vitality and development of the city.
Furthermore, Major General Al-Arada conducted a field visit to follow up on paving work on Al-Nasr Street in the Al-Rawdah area, north of Marib city. The project spans 3,000 meters in length and 40 meters in width. He stressed the necessity of adhering to technical specifications and set timelines to ensure the projects are implemented with the required quality.
The Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Marib confirmed the local authority’s continued implementation of infrastructure and essential service projects. This contributes to improving the level of services provided to citizens and enhancing development and stability in the governorate.
