Marib Opens Attendance Registers for Displaced Employees to Disburse Overdue Salaries

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Civil Service Office in Marib Governorate has begun receiving displaced public employees from governorates under Houthi control to sign attendance registers, verify their presence, and match their personal data, in preparation for submitting the information to the Ministry of Civil Service and the Central Information Center. The step paves the way for the disbursement of salaries that have been overdue for six months.

Saud Al-Yousfi, Director General of the Civil Service Office in Marib, said the move is being implemented in accordance with directives from Presidential Leadership Council Member Major General Sultan Al-Aradah, as well as instructions from the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance to ministry branches to open attendance registers for displaced employees.

Al-Yousfi added that the office has formed five working teams to receive employees, in coordination with directors of civil service offices in the governorates from which they were displaced, with the aim of accelerating data verification and confirming employee attendance.

He noted that the reception process will continue until next Thursday, and that the Civil Service Office will submit daily reports and data electronically to the ministry and the Central Information Center, in addition to the governorate’s local authority leadership.

Al-Yousfi called on all displaced employees whose salaries have been suspended to promptly report for attendance verification and data matching to ensure the payment of their outstanding entitlements.
