Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Stance on Hadramowt, Vows Support for De-escalation

Major General Mohammed Al-Qahtani, head of the Saudi delegation to Hadramowt, renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm commitment to Hadramowt governorate in southeastern Yemen today, Wednesday, emphasizing support for de-escalation and ending conflicts in the region.
During his meeting with a group of tribal figures from the Yemeni governorate on Wednesday, Al-Qahtani indicated that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are exerting significant efforts to achieve comprehensive peace in Yemen.
He stated that the issue of Southern Yemen is a just because that cannot be ignored or bypassed. He also stressed the necessity for all forces belonging to the Southern Transitional Council (STC) to withdraw from both Hadramowt and Al-Mahra governorates.
Al-Qahtani highlighted the Kingdom’s rejection of involving Hadramowt in new conflicts, affirming that the Hadrami community is a peaceful society and that the governorate is not a place for conflict.
Finally, Al-Qahtani announced support for the “Shield of the Nation” forces (Quwat Dir’ Al-Watan) to take over the responsibility of protecting military camps in Hadramowt and Al-Mahra, thereby enhancing security and stability in the region.
