Military sources reported on Wednesday that UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces have taken full control of Seiyun and several cities in Hadhramaut Valley without encountering resistance.
According to the sources, initial clashes broke out between forces of the First Military Region and STC units at security points located along the boundary between the First and Second Military Regions.
However, amid what the sources described as a lack of clear communication with the political leadership, soldiers from the First Military Region withdrew from their security positions, allowing STC forces to advance toward Seiyun with little to no resistance.
