Al-Alimi Orders Immediate Promotions and Salaries for Wounded and Disabled Veterans

The National Association for the Wounded and Disabled announced on Tuesday the results of a visit by a delegation of injured and disabled veterans to the interim capital, Aden, where they met with Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi.
President Al-Alimi affirmed his commitment to addressing the issues of wounded and disabled veterans, approving decisions to promote injured servicemen and to pay the salaries of the disabled and the families of martyrs from the active military payroll, with three months’ worth of salaries to be disbursed as quickly as possible.
He also ordered the immediate transfer of critical and severe medical cases abroad and the urgent allocation of funds for treatment and housing.
Additionally, Al-Alimi directed that monthly stipends be provided to immobile veterans unable to work, according to medical service standards. He requested beneficiary lists from the Chief of Staff and instructed coordination with regional partners to settle salaries, distribute bonuses, and ensure regular payments, as well as the completion of the National Authority for the Care of the Wounded and Families of Martyrs to institutionalize service delivery.
The association expressed its gratitude to the president for his responsible engagement, reaffirming its commitment to peaceful advocacy to secure all constitutionally and legally guaranteed rights. It also praised the role of media outlets and activists in supporting the cause.
