Five members of the Houthi group were killed and two others were captured on Friday evening during fierce clashes with Yemeni army forces on the Maqbanah front, west of Taiz governorate.
A military source told “Yemen Monitor” that the Yemeni army forces engaged in intense confrontations with Houthi elements, inflicting heavy losses on them in lives and equipment.
The source explained that the clashes occurred after infiltration attempts by the Houthis in the Jawa’ah area and the surroundings of Jabal Al-Awid on the Maqbanah front. He indicated that the Yemeni army successfully thwarted the attack and secured the area.
On the same front, military sources told “Monitor” that fierce clashes erupted between the Yemeni army and the Houthis in several locations in the Azlat Al-Ashmalah area of Maqbanah district, west of Taiz, confirming that the confrontations are continuing on multiple axes.
