For The Third Time Since Military Deployment: Yemeni Army Breaks Houthi Attack East of Al-Jawf

Yemen Monitor / Al-Jawf / Exclusive:

Yemeni Army forces succeeded today, Tuesday, in foiling an attack launched by Houthis on a number of military positions east of Al-Jawf governorate (northeast Yemen). This is the third time since the army carried out a security deployment in mid-October.

A military source told “Yemen Monitor” that the heroes of the Armed Forces in the Sixth Military Region managed to break the attack launched by the Houthis in the “Jawwas” sector, coinciding with the flight of drones over the area. Army units then carried out a surprise counter-attack that resulted in the pursuit of the fleeing Houthi remnants towards the desert areas.

The source added that the army forces pushed the Houthi elements into the Al-Hayad area, deep in the Al-Jawf desert, after inflicting significant losses in lives and equipment. He affirmed that the confrontations ended with the government forces achieving full control over the lines of contact.

This is the third such attack launched by the Houthis on the Jawwas sector since the army forces began their security deployment, which aims to cut off smuggling routes, enhance the safety of travelers, and regulate movement on the desert roads east of Al-Jawf.
