Israeli Media: 20 Fighter Jets Launch Largest Aerial Attack on Sana’a

The Israeli occupation launched a massive aerial attack on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, which is under Houthi control, today, Thursday. The operation involved around 20 fighter jets and was described as the largest since the escalation began with the Iran-backed group.

According to Israeli Army Radio, the forces utilized more than 65 munitions during the raids, the highest number of ordnances used in a single attack on Yemen. Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 quoted a security official affirming that the army will increase the pace of its operations against the Houthis in the next phase.

In this context, the Office of the Israeli Prime Minister announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the execution of the attack on Sana’a while aboard his plane en route to New York. The Israeli Army stressed that it will continue to act vigorously against the Houthis and will launch additional offensive operations soon.

For their part, Houthi media outlets reported that the bombing targeted Al-Nahdain area in Al-Sabeen district, Dhaban power station, in addition to residential neighborhoods in Hadda and Al-Raqas. Local sources also indicated that the raids struck the headquarters of Political Security, National Security, Al-Iman University, the Security Media Directorate, as well as the building of the Leadership and Staff Authority in the capital, Sana’a.
