In a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency, President Al-Alimi praised the progress achieved in economic and financial reforms, stressing that these results came as a result of coordination and harmony among state institutions at various levels.
Al-Alimi affirmed the Council and government’s commitment to building on these achievements and moving forward with the implementation of the comprehensive reform program, which has had a positive impact on the national currency exchange rate and the prices of basic commodities, while also strengthening the Central Bank’s independence in managing monetary policy.
The Chairman highlighted the leadership’s determination to improve the efficiency of public services, combat corruption, and enhance public revenues, in addition to working in line with the recommendations of regional and international partners, which will open the door for further economic relief and promising partnerships in the coming period.
