The local authority in Aden has approved raising the monthly incentive for teachers and contract workers to 50,000 riyals, starting at the end of this August. This measure is part of efforts to support the education sector and alleviate living burdens.
Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, confirmed that this step is being taken in light of the difficult economic conditions. He reiterated the local authority’s commitment to the teachers’ fair demands, foremost among them being the regular payment of salaries and a fair wage structure.
