Several children were injured today, Tuesday, by an improvised explosive device (IED) that targeted a military vehicle belonging to the West Coast Forces in the city of Al-Turba, Taiz Governorate, southwest Yemen.
Local sources reported that the explosion occurred near a house in the Hasbra area, resulting in civilian casualties, including children who were playing in the vicinity at the moment of the blast.
As of now, there is no official information regarding the number or nature of the injuries, nor has the party behind the incident been identified.
The West Coast Forces are affiliated with Presidential Leadership Council member Tareq Saleh and receive support and funding from the United Arab Emirates.
