Houthi Leader Vows to Continue Red Sea Attacks
Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Agencies:
Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said on Thursday that his group’s attacks in the Red Sea would continue.
In a televised speech, he stated: “It is unacceptable for any company to transport goods related to Israel through waters near Yemen.”
He added that the ban on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea remains in effect.
“Our decision to block Israeli shipping in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea is firm, consistent, and ongoing as long as the Israeli enemy continues its aggression and siege on the Gaza Strip,” he said.
He emphasized, “The blockade decision has never been halted or canceled — it remains in force.”
The Houthis sank two ships this week after months of calm.
