Taiz Police Reveal Details of Houthi Drone Strike on Fuel Station That Killed One and Injured Dozens

Taiz Governorate Police announced on Thursday that a drone belonging to the Houthi terrorist militia carried out a direct strike on the “Al-Qudsi” fuel station in the Hawdh area in central Taiz, causing massive fires and successive explosions in the early hours of Thursday, July 3, 2025.
In an official statement, police clarified that the explosion occurred at exactly 2:00 a.m. They received a report from Al-Dhaifani Police Station, prompting the immediate dispatch of civil defense teams with two fire trucks. Investigation and forensic teams, along with security campaign units and ambulances, were also deployed in coordination with relevant authorities.
According to the statement, the strike resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 23 others, including six members of the civil defense. The attack also caused significant material damage, affecting 12 homes, 8 vehicles, the fuel station itself, and several nearby commercial shops.
Taiz Police confirmed that investigations are still underway in coordination with relevant authorities to determine the full circumstances and assess the damage. They also praised the efforts of firefighting teams, volunteers, and citizens who rushed to assist in extinguishing the fire and evacuating the injured.
