Houthi Mine Injures Displaced Person and Destroys His Agricultural Plow in Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Yahyia Mohammed Abdullah Hashash sustained severe injuries to his neck and hands after a landmine left by the Houthis exploded while he was plowing agricultural land in a liberated area of Al-Jarahi district, south of Hodeidah Governorate (western Yemen).

The media office in Hodeidah Governorate confirmed that “the explosion caused severe damage to the citizen’s plow, an incident that once again highlights the continuous danger of mines planted by the militia in agricultural lands and roads.”

This incident is part of a series of violations left by the Houthi group in liberated areas, repeatedly causing civilian casualties, despite local and international warnings about the danger of continued mine presence without clear maps or genuine efforts for their removal.
