Aden: Four People Drown at Gold Mohur Beach Due to Strong Sea Currents

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Gold Mohur Beach in Aden’s Al-Tawahi district witnessed a tragic incident on Friday, as four young men from Crater district drowned after being swept away by strong sea currents.

Local sources reported that six young men went to the sea early in the morning, but violent sea currents pulled them into the depths. Several citizens managed to rescue two of them, while the bodies of three others were recovered. The fourth person is still missing.

This incident comes amid repeated warnings about the dangers of swimming during the summer months, which see severe sea disturbances due to strong northern winds and high waves, increasing the risk of swimming during June, July, and August.

According to local sources, this incident underscores the urgent need for caution and adherence to marine guidelines to ensure safety in coastal areas.
