Houthi Landmine Claims New Victim and Maims Child in Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
A 25-year-old man was killed and a teenage boy was severely injured on Sunday due to the explosion of a landmine left behind by the Houthi group in the Wadi Al-Nasiri area, northwest of Al-Tuhaita District in Al-Huduidah Governorate, western Yemen.
According to local sources, the explosion instantly killed the young man, while the injured 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition after his right leg was amputated and he sustained multiple shrapnel wounds.
Al-Hudaidah is one of the most heavily affected governorates by landmines left by the Houthis, which continue to claim lives and pose a constant threat to civilians, especially in agricultural areas and village pathways.
