Two Protest Vigils in Marib and Al-Mahra Condemn Israeli Occupation’s Crimes in Gaza

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The governorates of Marib (northeast) and Al-Mahra (eastern Yemen) witnessed two large protest vigils today, Friday, during which participants expressed their anger at the continued Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and their full solidarity with the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
In Marib, hundreds gathered in a protest vigil condemning the “systematic and brutal crimes” committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians in Gaza, Rafah, and the West Bank. Participants described these practices as a “new Holocaust,” warning of the dangers of the international community’s disregard for the targeting of Palestinian lives and identity.
The demonstrators affirmed their support for the wisdom of the Palestinian resistance in dealing with international mediations, despite what they described as the “stubbornness of the occupation” that resists global calls to stop the aggression, considering that this policy threatens the stability of the entire region.
On the other hand, residents of Al-Mahra Governorate organized a massive solidarity vigil in Al-Ghaydah city, during which they raised Palestinian flags and banners demanding urgent action to stop the “massacres” against civilians. The solidarity activists affirmed that the Palestinian issue remains a central issue in the Arab and Islamic conscience, calling on peoples and governments to use all legitimate means to support the steadfastness of Gaza and protect its children from the ongoing aggression.
The two vigils stressed the responsibility of the international community to take immediate political, economic, and legal measures to stop Israeli violations, open humanitarian crossings, and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes, which were described as a “stain of shame on the 21st century.”
Participants in both governorates also praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance, stressing that the freedom and independence of the Palestinians is an inviolable goal, expressing their hope for the defeat of the “Zionist project” supported by external powers.
The events concluded with calls for Arab and Islamic peoples to unite efforts to support Palestine and intensify international pressure to end the occupation, stressing that solidarity with the Palestinian cause is a “humanitarian and moral duty that brooks no delay or compromise.”
