The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman, which led to a ceasefire agreement between the US and the armed Houthi group.
The ministry described the development as a positive step that helps prevent further escalation of tensions and conflict in the region while safeguarding international navigation and global trade.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, stated that the Kingdom welcomes this agreement, which contributes to de-escalation and opens the door to resolving conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means, thereby enhancing regional and international peace and security.
Ambassador Al-Qudah also reaffirmed Jordan’s support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving disputes and conflicts in the region in a way that achieves comprehensive and just global peace.
