Russia Prepares to Reopen Its Embassy in Aden and Discusses Expanding Energy Cooperation with Yemen

Yemeni Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaya Al-Zindani, discussed on Saturday with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Evgeny Kudrov, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in several sectors, most notably energy, at a time when Moscow is preparing to reopen its embassy in the city of Aden in the coming period.

The official Yemeni News Agency reported that the two sides discussed developments in Yemen and the region, in addition to opportunities for enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The Russian Ambassador briefed the Yemeni Prime Minister on the ongoing arrangements to reopen the Russian Embassy in Aden, considering that the step will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and developing diplomatic communication between the two countries.
