Hadramawt: Anti-Aircraft Defenses Engage an Unidentified Target Over Mukalla

Local sources reported early Saturday morning that anti-aircraft fire was heard from several locations in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramawt Governorate in eastern Yemen.
Political activist Sabri Salmeen Bin Makhashin said that the sounds of anti-aircraft guns were heard between approximately 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. in areas behind Mukalla Port, around the headquarters of the Second Military Region, near Riyan Airport, and in the vicinity of the Dhabba Oil Port.
The sources added that a drone was seen in the sky minutes before the anti-aircraft fire was heard, causing concern and speculation among residents.
The same sources stated that initial reports indicate a defensive interception and response operation, although no confirmed information is yet available regarding the nature of the target or the outcome of the operation.
As of the time this report was prepared, the authorities and the relevant military bodies had not issued any official statement explaining the circumstances of the incident or providing further details.
