New Yemeni Ambassador Presents Her Credentials to Trump and Affirms Strengthening Partnership with Washington

Ambassador Jamila Ali Raja presented, on Saturday, her credentials to US President Donald Trump during an official ceremony held at the White House, in her capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Yemen to the United States.

During the meeting, the Yemeni ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, affirming the Yemeni government’s keenness to expand cooperation prospects with Washington and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries across various political, economic, security, and developmental fields.

Raja emphasized the importance of continued American support for the Yemeni government’s efforts aimed at restoring state institutions and achieving stability, in addition to contributing to mitigating the humanitarian crisis faced by Yemenis, praising the historical relations connecting Sana’a and Washington.

For his part, President Trump welcomed the new Yemeni ambassador, wishing her success in her diplomatic duties, and affirming the USs’ keenness to enhance bilateral relations with Yemen in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

Trump also asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to the Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, reaffirming Washington’s support for the course of relations and cooperation with the Yemeni government.
