The Yemeni Public Prosecution issued judicial orders for the coercive arrest of a suspect in a case involving the sexual assault of a child in the city of Aden, coinciding with security movements and official investigations regarding the incident that has sparked widespread interaction on social media platforms.

According to a circulating memorandum, the prosecution directed the arrest of the individual named Muhammad Muhammad Qasim Saleh Al-Naqeeb, who serves as a medical officer in the Second Presidential Protection Brigade belonging to the dissolved Southern Transitional Council, following accusations against him in the case after the circulation of a video clip said to document the assault incident.

The prosecution also addressed the Director of Aden Security with a request to issue an urgent circular to all land, air, and sea ports to prevent the suspect from leaving the country, along with instructions to apprehend him and report any developments related to the case.

In the same context, the Aden Security Directorate announced the formation of a specialized team to follow up on the details of the incident and verify the circulating information, confirming that the case file has been referred to the Public Prosecution to complete legal procedures in accordance with the law.

The directorate emphasized that the security apparatuses will not tolerate any crimes that target children or infringe upon human and moral values, stressing that they will deal firmly with anyone whose involvement is proven, without exception.

It also called on citizens to cooperate with the competent authorities by providing any information or evidence that might assist in the course of the investigations, through police stations or security and judicial authorities.
