Yemeni Coast Guard Participates in An Anti-Piracy Maritime Operation

The Yemeni Coast Guard Authority participated with three patrol boats in the focused operation “Vigilantia Maris – Vigilance of the Seas,” which was carried out in coordination with the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) led by the anti-piracy Combined Task Force 151, within the framework of enhancing regional maritime security.
The operation witnessed the execution of a joint maritime patrol west of the Gulf of Aden with the participation of the Djiboutian Coast Guard and Navy, aiming to enhance maritime security, elevate the level of regional coordination and cooperation, and support international freedom of navigation in the region.
The operation included conducting joint maritime patrols, communicating with commercial vessels and fishing boats, alongside enhancing information exchange and maritime domain awareness to counter illicit activities and threats.
