Houthis Kidnap Several Citizens in Dhamar, Including a Former Government Official

Yemen Monitor / Exclusive:
Armed Houthi group kidnapped three citizens, including a former government official, on Tuesday in Dhamar Governorate, central Yemen.
Local sources told Yemen Monitor that the Houthis abducted Mohammed Ahmed Al-Hajri, the former Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs in Dhamar, and Fahd Al-Harouji, the director and owner of Al-Nahda Model Schools, after raiding their homes in the city of Dhamar.
The sources also reported that the Houthis kidnapped Mohammed Al-Basis, a resident of Wusab Al-Ali District, and took the abductees to an unknown location.
These kidnappings in Dhamar are part of a wider crackdown carried out by the Houthi group across several governorates. In previous months, the Houthis conducted a similar campaign of abductions in Ibb Governorate, where, according to human rights organizations, the number of detainees reached 120.
