Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Aden has witnessed the resumption of operations at the President power plant with a production capacity of 65 megawatts, following a complete two-day blackout in the power system. Official sources reported that the currentlyكككك available fuel is only sufficient for one day, with two hours of operation allocated per district, divided among neighborhoods.
Five diesel tankers were borrowed from the oil company to operate the President plant, in addition to activating two generators from the Al-Mansoura station on Tuesday morning, aiming to enhance the stability of the city’s electrical current.
The sources added that operating one of the two stations will automatically bring the solar power station online to support the electrical grid, enhancing the system’s ability to continue meeting demand.
Communication has also been established with Al-Nashima port, where approval was granted to load six crude oil tankers early this morning. They are expected to arrive at Aden port by sunset, providing additional fuel quantities to support the operation of the power plants in the coming days, according to the local news agency.
