The Yemeni youth national team qualified for the semifinals of the Gulf U-20 Cup after a well-deserved 2-0 victory over its Kuwaiti counterpart in the final match of the group stage.
Abdullah Al-Daqeen scored Yemen’s first goal from a penalty kick in the first half, before Adel Abbas added the second goal in the second half to secure the dominance of the “Little Reds” and clinch the qualification ticket.
With this win, the Yemeni team topped Group A with 6 points, having previously defeated Qatar in the second round, despite losing its opening match against Saudi Arabia.
In the semifinals, Yemen will face the runner-up of Group B, as fans hold high hopes for the team to continue its journey to the final and claim the Gulf title.
