Death of Three People, Including Two Children, in Floods Caused by Rain in Shabwa and Hadramawt

Two children drowned in floods caused by heavy rainfall in the Jidfra area of Bayhan District, Shabwa Governorate, according to local police.

Sources identified the victims as Saleh Abdullah Awshlah (6 years old) and Salem Saleh Qwayrah (8 years old), who were swept away by floodwaters in Wadi Bayhan. The incident was attributed to lack of parental supervision, and their bodies were handed over to their families for burial.

In a separate incident, Mohammed Mahdi Abd Hadijan, a resident of Tarim District in Wadi Hadramawt and the Desert, also drowned in floodwaters.

It is worth noting that the districts of Wadi Hadramawt and the Desert have witnessed moderate to heavy rains over the past two days, causing flooding that cut off main roads and damaged several homes in the districts of Shibam, Hura, Seiyun, and Tarim.
