Houthis Prevent Water Trucks from Entering Taiz

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Reliable sources have revealed that the Houthi group has stopped water transport trucks coming from the Al-Hawban area and prevented them from reaching the city of Taiz.
According to the sources, the militia is detaining the trucks in areas under its control and gathering them at specific locations without providing any clear reasons.
Available information suggests two main possible motives behind this action: the first is that the group may be seeking to completely deprive the city of water supplies as part of a deliberate strangulation policy.
The second possibility is that the Houthis intend to use the trucks in staged propaganda campaigns, portraying themselves as saviors of the people of Taiz, similar to what has occurred on previous occasions.
This comes despite the fact that the water sources are located outside of Houthi-controlled areas, and the transportation and purchase operations are being funded by the residents of the city themselves.
