“Saudi-European” Meeting Discusses the Yemeni Crisis and Escalation in the Red Sea

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, held a meeting today, Wednesday, with the EU Delegation Ambassador to Yemen, Gabriel Munuera Vinals, in the capital, Riyadh.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Yemen, including the humanitarian challenges and ways to enhance joint support to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The two parties also touched on the ongoing escalation in the Red Sea region and the paths to achieving peace and stability in Yemen, according to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”.
The meeting coincides with the arrival of the Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, in Tehran at the head of a high-ranking military delegation, on an official visit amidst tense regional circumstances, with the ongoing war in Gaza and escalating Houthi threats, including their warnings of targeting Saudi Arabia and the UAE in response to any potential attack on the port of Hodeidah.
It is worth noting that these developments come within intensive diplomatic and military efforts to address regional crises, especially in Yemen and the escalation in the Red Sea.
