Saudi Relief Center Provides Urgent Shelter Assistance to Families Affected by Fire in Al-Mahrah

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed emergency shelter assistance to families affected by a fire that broke out in the Al-Jurayb area of Al-Masilah District, located in Yemen’s eastern governorate of Al-Mahrah, which resulted in the destruction of several homes.

The center stated that the relief intervention was carried out through its local partner, the “Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief.” It included the distribution of 30 tents and 30 shelter kits containing basic living essentials, benefiting approximately 180 people affected by the fire.

This intervention comes as part of the fifth phase of the emergency shelter plan project implemented by the center across several Yemeni governorates, aiming to provide a rapid response to families affected by disasters and emergency incidents.

The assistance aims to provide temporary shelter and basic requirements for families who lost their homes, contributing to mitigating the repercussions of the fire and improving the conditions of those affected during the initial period of the crisis.

The emergency shelter project is one of the humanitarian programs implemented by KSrelief to support those affected by natural disasters and emergency incidents in Yemen, utilizing specialized field teams and rapid response mechanisms to deliver life-saving aid.
