Deteriorating Health and Death in Hospital: Saudi Newspaper Reveals Final Days of Former Yemeni President

The Saudi newspaper Okaz revealed details surrounding the death of former Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, who passed away early this morning at a hospital in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The newspaper reported on Thursday evening that Hadi’s health had deteriorated in recent days after he suffered a mild health setback while at his home. He was subsequently taken to the hospital several times and had remained under medical care there during the past two weeks.
The report also disclosed that Hadi had traveled to the US several times in recent years for treatment away from public attention. However, his condition reportedly worsened suddenly during the past week before he passed away at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.
His family announced that his funeral and burial would take place on Friday after the Asr prayer in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Over the past several years, the former Yemeni president had reportedly suffered from heart problems and regularly traveled to the US for periodic medical examinations and follow-up treatment at a hospital in the city of Cleveland.
