Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, affirmed that the battle to restore state institutions begins with fortifying and stabilizing the liberated governorates. He stressed the need to protect the national achievements that have been made, foremost among them the unity of the domestic front and the unification of security and military decision-making.

This came during his meeting on Thursday with the Governor of Lahij Governorate, Murad Al-Halimi, where His Excellency was briefed on the service, economic, and security conditions in the governorate, as well as the performance level of the local authority’s executive body.

Al-Alimi pointed out that maintaining public security and tranquility in the liberated areas is the strongest guarantee for moving forward with the national project, noting that Lahij Governorate represents a main supply line and a vital front line in confronting the terrorist Houthi militias, which requires security vigilance, high readiness, and continuous coordination between the security and military institutions.

He also listened to the Governor of Lahij’s briefing on the local authority’s efforts to restore institutional discipline, the approved plans to enhance service sustainability, and the development of local resources.

The President praised the steps taken to normalize conditions, directing the need for close cooperation with the government to combat corruption, control revenues, improve spending efficiency, and direct them towards the citizens’ living priorities.
