Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Members of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council—Marib Governor Sheikh Sultan al-Aradah and Hadramawt Governor Salem al-Khanbashi—stressed the critical importance of the swift return of the new government to carry out its duties from inside the country.
During their meeting today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, they emphasized the need for the government to resume its work from the temporary capital, Aden, and from the liberated governorates in order to normalize conditions and ease the suffering of citizens.
Al-Aradah and al-Khanbashi discussed improving basic services in the governorates of Marib and Hadramawt, as well as in other liberated areas, affirming that joint coordination between local authorities and the government is the optimal path to overcoming economic and livelihood challenges.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance integrated coordination and unify political and military visions in a manner that serves the supreme national interest, with a focus on unifying security and military efforts under a single national framework to ensure the restoration of the capital, Sana’a, and the end of the Houthi coup.
The two sides also reviewed ongoing efforts to bolster security and stability, praising the arrangements underway to redeploy armed forces and move them from city centers to combat fronts—steps that enhance the efficiency of military operations while preserving public tranquility in stable governorates.
The meeting concluded by commending the role played by security and military institutions in protecting public and private interests, stressing that the convergence of efforts between political leadership and the government will help accelerate reconstruction and consolidate the foundations of the state across all tracks.
