The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) announced on Tuesday the implementation of the final phase of the Al-Abr road expansion and rehabilitation project, covering a distance of 40 kilometers.
According to reports published by the Marib Governorate media office, this final phase extends from the Ghuwayrban area to the Al-Makhtam area, following the completion of the project’s first and second phases.
The head of the technical office in the Marib local authority, Dr. Ali al-Jabal, explained that this project is part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure and improve the vital road network. He noted its contribution to facilitating transportation, stimulating commercial movement between governorates, and enhancing traffic safety for road users.
For its part, the SDRPY confirmed that the implementation of the final phase is being carried out according to high technical and engineering standards to ensure the sustainability of the project and the achievement of its developmental goals. This comes within the framework of continuous support to improve infrastructure and enhance opportunities for stability and development in Yemen.
