Shabwah Security Committee Prohibits Unlicensed Events as Dissolved STC Mobilizes Supporters

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

Shabwah Governorate Security Committee reaffirmed on Tuesday that it will not, under any circumstances, allow the holding of any unlicensed events or activities.

In an official statement, the committee emphasized its complete commitment to maintaining security and stability, as well as protecting the achievements and milestones reached within the governorate. It stressed the necessity of exercising rights in a balanced manner that ensures the preservation of public peace and national interests.

Shabwah security warned against any attempts aimed at disturbing social harmony or destabilizing the governorate’s security. It also called upon citizens and social groups to prioritize the supreme national interest, learn from the lessons of the past, and act with a sense of responsibility within the legal framework governing various activities and events.

This statement comes amid calls issued by the dissolved Southern Transitional Council (STC) for demonstrations tomorrow in Shabwah Governorate under the slogan “Martyr’s Day, and Support for the Transitional Council and its President, Aidarous al-Zubaidi.”
