Defense Minister Visits Taiz, Stresses High Combat Readiness to Complete Liberation

Yemen’s Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Dr. Mohsen Mohammed al-Daeri, attended a symbolic military parade in the city of Taiz on Monday, featuring units from the Taiz Military Axis and local security forces. The event was also attended by Governor Nabil Shamsan and several senior military and security officials.
In his address, the defense minister emphasized the importance of maintaining high combat readiness to complete the liberation of Yemen. He also praised the support of the brotherly members of the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, noting that the upcoming phase represents “the battle of deliverance.”
Al-Daeri also spoke about Houthi violations and crimes against civilians in areas under their control, underscoring the need for full preparedness for the national liberation battle.
The minister commended the people of Taiz, saying:
“We have visited all military regions and found the sons of Taiz in every unit and position—leaders and soldiers alike—setting the finest examples of courage and sacrifice.”
For his part, Governor Nabil Shamsan, who also chairs the local security committee, welcomed the minister and his accompanying delegation, praising the readiness and sacrifices of the Taiz Military Axis in defending the governorate. He reaffirmed Taiz’s historic role in Yemen’s national struggle.
Later, Minister al-Daeri held a meeting with the Security Committee of Taiz Governorate to discuss the latest developments and efforts to strengthen security and stability in the region.
