A ship off the coast of Yemen in the Gulf of Aden came under attack earlier today, according to officials, though no injuries were reported. The identity of the attackers remains unclear.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center said in a statement that the ship’s captain reported hearing the sound of splashing water followed by an explosion near the vessel.
The center added in its statement: “Reports confirm that the ship and its crew are safe and heading toward their next port of call.”
