Taiz: Governorate Meeting Discusses Reducing Service Fees and Ensuring Implementation

A meeting was held today at the Taiz governorate headquarters with deputy governors and directors of relevant offices to discuss reducing fees for several services provided to citizens, in line with directives from Governor Nabil Shamsan.

During the meeting, an implementation mechanism was set for reducing fees, covering private school tuition, commercial electricity, and other services, in accordance with the Central Bank’s official exchange rate and the Prime Minister’s instructions on lowering the prices of goods and services.

The meeting approved the formation of a joint committee to carry out field inspections of private schools to enforce the new fees. The Director-General of the Electricity Corporation was tasked with preparing a comprehensive pricing study based on the decline in diesel prices. In addition, the price of reinforced concrete was set at 140,000 riyals per cubic meter.

The meeting emphasized the need for swift implementation and strict enforcement of any decision that serves the public interest and alleviates citizens’ hardships
