Two Security Force Members Killed in Attack in Southern Yemen

The Security Directorate of Abyan Governorate announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of two members of the National Security forces following a terrorist attack that targeted the National Security headquarters in the city of Loder, east of the governorate.

In an obituary statement, the directorate said that “elements belonging to Al-Qaeda launched an attack at dawn on Tuesday on the National Security headquarters in Loder, using hand grenades and machine guns, targeting the force stationed at the headquarters.”

The statement added that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of both Ahmed Qassem Al-Ja’ari and Moataz Ali Abdulrab Al-Ja’adani.

According to the statement, Abyan Security Directorate praised what it described as the “heroic stances” of the two martyrs and their role in pursuing terrorist organizations and promoting security and stability in Loder District and Abyan Governorate.

The directorate extended its condolences to the families of the two martyrs and to the members of the National Security forces, reaffirming the continuation of its efforts to confront terrorist organizations and maintain security and stability in the governorate.
