The Sixth Military Region of the Yemeni Army Conducts a Foot March to Enhance Combat Readiness

Yemen Monitor – Newsroom:
Battalions affiliated with the Sixth Military Region of the Yemeni Army carried out a 25-kilometer military foot march on Thursday in Ma’rib, eastern Yemen, following the completion of intensive training and refresher courses covering several military specializations.
According to the region’s media office, the march comes as part of a plan to reinforce combat formations with specialized personnel and to raise the physical and combat readiness of its members. It also coincides with the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the 36th National Day marking the reunification of Yemen on May 22.
During the march, the commander of the Sixth Military Region, Major General Haikal Hantaf, stated that the region had recently implemented intensive training and qualification programs for several battalions and units. These programs, he said, contributed to improving the fighters’ efficiency and discipline and demonstrated their readiness to carry out assigned missions effectively.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, Major General Hantaf affirmed that the armed forces would continue defending the nation’s achievements and national principles. He also expressed hope that the coming phase would witness the recapture of the capital, Sana’a, and the restoration of security and stability across the country.
The leadership of the Sixth Military Region also sent congratulatory messages to the chairman and members of the Presidential Leadership Council, the prime minister, and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff on the anniversary of Yemeni Unity National Day.
