Meeting in Aden Approves New Pricing for Jet Fuel to Ensure Flight Stability

A meeting held today in the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden, chaired by Minister of Transport Mohsen Al-Amri, discussed the jet fuel (JET A-1) supply crisis and the challenges facing the aviation sector under current circumstances.

The meeting included the Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation, Captain Saleh bin Nahid, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemenia Airways, Captain Nasser Mahmoud, and the Director General of the Yemen Petroleum Company – Aden Branch, Dr. Saleh al-Jariri. They discussed mechanisms to enhance coordination between relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of fuel supplies.

Minister Al-Amri emphasized the importance of integrating efforts between the concerned institutions to secure the aviation sector’s fuel needs and to alleviate the operational pressures it faces during this exceptional phase, ensuring that air services continue without interruption.

The meeting concluded with the approval of providing jet fuel according to a new pricing structure that aligns with current variables, contributing to the stability of air transport services and avoiding any potential disruptions in flight movements.
