On Saturday, intense fighting broke out between the Yemeni army and Houthi group in Taiz Governorate (southwest Yemen), resulting in many deaths and injuries.
Local sources said that Yemeni army forces in Al-Silw District, southeast of Taiz Governorate, repelled an attack by armed Houthi elements. Fierce clashes took place, during which various types of weapons were used.
The sources reported that the fighting resulted in the deaths of two soldiers: Majed Ali Al-Salwi and Yasser Mohammed Al-Salwi, in addition to three others being wounded.
The sources explained that the Yemeni army managed to fend off the attack, confirming that there were also deaths and injuries among the Houthis.
