Taiz police announced on Friday that they had arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in the assassination of the Taiziya District Police Chief, Lt. Col. Abdullah Ahmed Naji Shalan Al-Naqeeb, confirming that investigations are still underway to uncover all circumstances of the incident and bring all perpetrators to justice.
The police explained that a wide-scale investigation was launched into the terrorist crime that targeted Lt. Col. Al-Naqeeb, who died after sustaining multiple shrapnel injuries.
According to the statement, three suspects were apprehended: (M.A.A.A.), (F.A.A.A.), and (M.A.Q.). Security services continue their intensive efforts to complete the investigations and track down the remaining criminals .
Taiz police stressed that this “cowardly” crime will not weaken the resolve of security forces, but rather strengthen their determination to fulfill their national and humanitarian duties in combating crime and enhancing security and stability. The statement affirmed their commitment to pursuing the perpetrators until they are brought to justice and the law is enforced.
