New Batches of Electricity Generators Heading to Hadramawt

Member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Al-Khanbashi, announced the arrival of the first batch of emergency power plant generators to the city of Mukalla, as part of a project aimed at supporting the electricity system in the coast and valley of Hadramawt with a total capacity of 200 megawatts.
Al-Khanbashi said that additional batches of generators will successively arrive in the cities of Mukalla and Seiyun in the coming period, within the framework of the project funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, aimed at enhancing the generating capacity of power plants in the governorate.
He explained that the project will contribute to improving the stability of electricity service and alleviating the suffering of citizens, as well as meeting urgent energy needs, pending the completion of the construction of permanent generation plants.
According to the Hadramawt Governorate media, the first batch of generators arrived at Mukalla port from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a step representing the beginning of the implementation of the emergency project aimed at raising the efficiency of the electricity system in the governorate.
