Yemeni Army Announces the Killing of 7 Houthis During Clashes in the “Al-Razamat Axis” in Saada

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni army forces in Saada Governorate (far north of the country) announced on Saturday the repelling of a large-scale attack launched by the Houthi group on advanced positions along the border strip with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a new military escalation.
The official Saba News Agency quoted a military source stating that gunmen from the Houthi group carried out a surprise and intense attack yesterday evening, Friday, on one of the advanced military positions in the Al-Razamat mountains in “Al-Safra” district.
The source added that violent clashes broke out between the two sides and lasted for several hours, before the axis forces pushed forward military reinforcements that executed a counterattack, through which they managed to secure the site and clear it completely.
According to the source, the battle resulted in the killing of 7 members of the Houthi group and the flight of the remaining attackers, while one soldier from the axis forces was killed and another was injured while repelling the attack.
The military source explained that the army forces continue to pursue the fleeing Houthis up to the borders of the positions from which the attack originated, emphasizing that the forces are at the highest levels of alertness and readiness to deal with any military escalation.
The Al-Razamat military axis is stationed in the Al-Safra district of Saada Governorate, where its theater of operations extends across complex mountainous terrain leading up to the lines of contact on the border strip with Saudi Arabia.
