Russian Embassy Tracks Clashes in Eastern Yemen, Warns Its Citizens Amid Ongoing Internal Turmoil

The Embassy of Russia in Yemen said on Monday that it is closely monitoring the latest security developments in the country’s east, where several areas have witnessed renewed armed clashes.

The embassy stressed that the Yemeni crisis remains far from solution and that the internal conflict continues with no real signs of de-escalation or political settlement.

Yemen is grappling with severe financial and humanitarian crises compounded by overlapping political and military conflicts, tribal tensions, and competition among armed units for control, including the use of heavy weaponry and advanced military equipment.

In its statement, the Russian Embassy urged its citizens currently in Yemen—including those residing in the Socotra Archipelago—to exercise maximum caution and vigilance to ensure their safety amid the volatile situation.

The statement added that the travel advisory issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry, warning against travel to Yemen due to the escalating political crisis, remains in effect. The embassy called on all citizens to adhere to this guidance.

These warnings underscore the continued instability in Yemen, which affects both civilians and foreign nationals in the absence of any political solution capable of halting the cycle of violence and internal conflict.
