Yemeni Government Begins Paying Delayed Salaries to Civil and Military State Employees

The Yemeni government announced today, Thursday, the start of paying delayed salaries to state employees in both the civilian and military sectors. This is part of a comprehensive financial and administrative plan being implemented under the direct supervision of Prime Minister Dr. Salem Saleh Bin Breik, and in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Yemen.
A government source confirmed that the payment process comes within the framework of a government plan to ensure regular monthly salary payments and to gradually clear the backlogs, in parallel with financial and structural reforms aimed at achieving sustainability and improving the conditions of employees.
The government reiterated its commitment to giving the salary file the highest priority, commending the employees’ patience and trust, and affirming the continuation of efforts to enhance revenues, enforce financial discipline, and ensure transparency in resource management, enabling the state to fulfill its obligations to its citizens.
